BARRY Beavers Disabled Swimming Club resumed their session on the 12th January after the Christmas break, starting with an earlier time of 3.30pm.

The session went past quickly and there were some new faces there.

There was an opportunity for those who are new to the club to attend during the first hour to get themselves familiar to the club and how it is run and introducing them into water using the halliwick principle.

On 23rd January some members went to the Vale Volunteering event that was held at the Memo Arts Centre Memorial Hall.

They were given forms to them for people to fill in for registering interest in joining and volunteering with the club as helpers or swimmers or both.

On the 30th three members of the club went to Barry Football Club to be presented an cheque of £150 for the club from the Barry Round Table from the money raised from the Santa Sleigh collection a month earlier.
