THE S4C cameras return to Jenner Park this Saturday night as third-placed Barry Town United entertain sixth-placed Newtown in the JD Welsh Premier League (7.30pm).

After suffering a first home defeat since January at the feet of champions The New Saints, Barry will be hopeful of bouncing back in this televised encounter by exacting revenge over the Robins, who took all three points when the clubs last met in October.

However, to do so, Gavin Chesterfield's team will need to get the better of a Newtown side unbeaten in their last five JD Welsh Premier League outings, having chalked up comfortable wins over Caernarfon Town and Llanelli, as well as a hat-trick of 1-1 draws against TNS, Cefn Druids and, most recently, title challengers Connah's Quay Nomads.

Leading the line for the visitors on Saturday, strikers Nick Rushton and Luke Boundford have helped themselves to several goals apiece this month, helping boost the Robins' goal average to a healthy +11, the third highest in the entire JD Welsh Premier League.

Conversely, Barry will be without marksman Modou Touray, after the Wales U21 international, on loan from Newport County AFC, picked up a pair of yellow cards in the aforementioned loss to TNS.

Nevertheless, Town manager Chesterfield is expected to have an otherwise full squad at his disposal, including in-form midfielder Robbie Patten, recently named as JD Welsh Premier League Player of the Month.

Last season saw Barry run out comfortable 2-0 winners over Newtown at Jenner Park in Phase One, only for the hosts to be held to a 1-1 draw in Phase Two, another match held under the watchful lens of the Sgorio cameras.

Admission for the match on Saturday is £7 (adults), £5 (senior citizens/students) and £3 (children) at the turnstiles, while S4C's live coverage from Jenner Park starts at 7.25pm.
