HOLTON Road AFC Seniors progressed through to the South Wales Intermediate Cup semi finals on Saturday with a convincing 4-1 win over a well organized and experienced Pontypridd FC at Barry Sports Centre.
With two goals from Travell Konten, one from Dan Morgan and an own goal Holton controlled the game following an early goal from Pontypridd.
A spokesperson stated: “We played very well following an early setback to which the response was outstanding, we out played a very good team. We’d also like to thank the fantastic supporters who turned up to cheer us on especially the younger players from the club, it was great to see them celebrating at the final whistle.”
A big well done also to the Tynewydd FC squad who also progressed into the semis from all of us at Holton Road. Flying the football flag for the Vale of Glamorgan. The draw for the semi final will take place on January 7th.
