TYNEWYDD has their most emphatic win of the season racking up seven goals against SP Billy

Tynewydd started the game at a quick pace as were 1-0 up within five minutes when a pinpoint cross field pass from George Pycroft found Tom Parsons on the left wing who’s instant cross found Craig Rattenbury at the back post who nodded in.

Tynewydd were playing some neat passing around the SP 18 yard box and one such move found Lloyd Union just on the edge of the box, he quickly shifted the ball before curling it low to the keepers left to double the score line. Tynewydd went into the break 3-0 up after a corner found Pycroft who turned the ball in from close range.

Starting the 2nd half like the first Rattenbury soon had his 2nd of the match making it 4-0 before Tom Parsons got onto the scoresheet with a header from 6 yards out accurately found by Lyndon Peterson’s cross into the box. Parsons was unlucky not to bag a few more goals himself but was denied by some excellent goalkeeping from the SP stopper.

SP Billy finishing the game depleted with a few injuries and Tynewydd scored twice more before the end, Julian Brana made it 6-0 with a deft front post header and Craig Rattenbury wrapped up his hat trick with a low drilled left shot into the bottom corner of the net.

Man of the match went to Tom Parsons, who playing his first 90 minutes had a goal and 3 assists to his name.

Notable mentions for Rattenbury for his hat trick, Lloyd Union for his all round game in the center of the park and Callum Coleman in goals for another clean sheet, his fourth of the season so far.

Tynewydd make the journey north to Aberdare for their Intermediate Cup game hoping that Saturdays goal scoring form continues.
