BARRY Beavers Swimming Club travelled to the Rhondda Polar Bears Swimming Club's gala on the weekend.
Despite some team members being absent the team of 19 swimmers competed against Blaenau Gwent Otters, Rhondda Polar Bears, Gwent Dolphins and Towy Salmon swimming clubs.
There was close finishes throughout the gala with the heats and finals with everyone who took part on the day.
Some team members were pipped from medal positions but they all swam well and they should be proud of themselves as well as part of the team who've exceeded all expectations throughout this years competitions.
The club came in 2nd place with 4 Golds, 5 Silvers and 4 Bronzes totalling to 13 medals.
Also the league swim team came either 4th or 5th to end the year with.
Pat Finch would like to congratulate the whole team for doing so well this year and indicate that the team are an credit to the club.

League Swim Team were as follows:-
Tyler Savory, Nicholas Cushen, Kyle Sirrak (standing in for Gareth Lloyd) and Mark Eveleigh
Other members who've competed were Suzanne Haslam, Holly Willis, Tom Burley and Andrew Sage who swam equally well on the day.
