Beavers topple Rhondda Polar Bears at Regional Gala !.

BARRY Beavers Disabled Swimming Club yet again toppled Rhondda Polar Bears Swimming Club at this year's Regional Swimming Gala winning eight golds, six silvers and three bronze medals.

The 30 + strong team competed well and a lot got through to the finals and some got through straight finals on the day.

The team were: Elle Warren, Amiya Watkins, Keira Dyne, Leah Marcus, Jamie King, Suzanne Haslam, Loius Davies, Keira Richards, Abby Finch, Holly Willis, Mia Thomson, Callum Savory, Jen Thomson, Heather Williams, Gareth Lloyd, Mark Eveleigh, Aidan Thomson, Ffion Jones, Jack Kemp, Sarah Davies, Nicholas Cushen, Tyler Savory, Kyle Siirak, Phillip Daly, Nadine Dyne,

Along with the team were: Pat Finch (coach), Linda Savory, Jean Kemp, Chris E, Wendy and Steve Dyne, Cath Jones, Simon King, Sheila, Mala, Tom Burley and Angela who all along with others who came as support for the team.

Following the teams success on the day, those who won golds would represent Wales at the National Championships being held at Kent on October 20th and Pat Finch our coach was proud and pleased of the whole teams efforts and achievements on the day.

The winners and there events on the day are as follows:

Gold: Keira Dyne, Girls 25m, Abby Finch Girls 50m, Callum Savory, Boys 50m, Heather Williams Ladies 50m, Aidan Thomson, Boys 100m, Ffion Jones Girls 100m, Nicholas Cushen Men's 100m, Jnr Relay (Jack, Abby, Ffion and Jamie)

Silver: Elle Warren Girls 25m, Jamie King Boys 25m, Jen Thomson Ladies 50m, Mark Eveleigh Men's 50m, Jack Kemp Boys 100m, Snr Relay (Phillip, Nicholas, Kyle and Mark)

Bronze: Mia Thomson Girls 50m, Gareth Lloyd Men's 50m, Sarah Davies Ladies 100m.

An total of 17 medals won on the day which is an amazing achievement by the whole team

On top of that is the League Swim which are Tyler, Nicholas, Gareth and Mark who have swam well this year and it's close as there is only one more Swimming comp remaining this year (Rhondda Polar Bears Swimming Club Gala).

Only time will tell where they end up end of the year for competitions.
