AFTER being rained off twice previously, the second day of Brynhill’s prestigious Captain's Prize was finally completed on Sunday.

First day leaders Andy Godland (net) and Jamie Krankie Griffiths (gross) failed to replicate first day form, tumbling down the leader board in a sadly predictable cheap firework sort of a way.

Second day winners were Calvin O’Carroll (gross) and surprise package George Wigley (net) who changed his swing style from J R Hartley to what he claims is Bryson DeChambeau.

However the Captain's Prize needs two solid rounds and that’s exactly what Best gross winner Scotty Warne and outright winner Peter Incledon provided, indeed Incledon carded a very impressive eight under handicap, two day total, of 136 to secure the Prize.....over to you Slasher Giles.

Saturday sees the 1st and 2nd teams take on a strong Captains select in the much anticipated annual grudge match. Even if you’re not playing I would urge you to get and support this event. It’s always an “emotional” day.

Sunday brings a gentle stapleford singles comp when all categories contest The John Collins Foundation Cup. Swing well and enjoy your golf.
