THERE were just seconds left on the clock after Holton Road had deservedly scored a second and equalising goal in a second half fight back after trailing by two.

The match had started so well for Cadoxton Barry when, just three minutes in, Adam Hartrey lofted a ball forward for Jenkinson to head the visitors into the lead.

The Roadies' first opportunity came when a free kick drifted just over the bar, but CB looked odds on to double their lead when a tackle from behind in the box brought no response from the officials.

Holton were beginning to gain the greater share of the ball whilst CB were creating and wasting the better chances, Kinman crossing to Yeoman who dipped his shot just over the bar.

And CB regained the initiative as a number of long balls over the top created a string of failed half chances.

But back came Holton to earn a free kick, though the grubber kick went wide to see the half time break arrive with the score still 1-0.

Holton started the second half on the front foot and looked odds on to score when a forward found himself in a one on one with 'keeper Kinch.

But the latter guessed correctly to bring off a brilliant diving save to his right. And Kinch was hero again just a few seconds later pulling off a point blank block from a header resulting from a corner.

And Holton went on to gain four more corners in rapid time as they continued to press for a further ten minutes.

Then Jackhontaw, another former Cadoxton Barry Alliance League player, sent in a fierce and low cross from the right to put his forward in front of an open goal, but he blazed over from little more than a yard out.

CB's Kinman was replaced by Richey who was immediately amongst the action, setting up an attack which resulted in Yeoman being felled in the box from behind.

And Ingham needed no second invitation to step up to the spot to double the Cadoxton Barry lead in the 60th minute.

Holton retaliated with a fierce blast at goal which struck a CB defender to almost create an own goal as the ball squirmed just past the post.

And now the pressure was on as man-of-the-match, Kinch brought off another quality save as the ball was blasted goalwards from the centre of a goalmouth melee.

Trefell went on a run down the left to fire just wide of the far post.

But it wasn't long before Holton reduced the deficit when a fabulous drive from 25 yards out in the centre of the park left Kinch with no chance.

Then a back header looked odds on to be an equaliser before Kinch appeared from nowhere to tip the ball wide. But in the end Holton achieved their deserved equaliser when a corner resulted in the ball being driven home from a wide angle, a quality effort.

But then came a late goal to deprive CB of a deserved point.
