THE Brynhill Golf Club Ladies' Past Captains' Memorial Trophy was played on 31st August.

There couldn't have been better golfing weather with the golfing gods sending some sunshine.

The golf course looked glorious and in wonderful condition thanks to Iain Grant and his course staff.

There were 14 ladies' past captains entering the 18 hole competition.

The presentation took place after the very welcome sandwiches and chips provided by the club caterer, Mark Dommett.

The winner with 36 pts was immediate past captain Olwen Thomas.

This was her first competition playing as a past captain.

She was presented with the beautiful cut glass trophy by Alma Sheppard (who donated the trophy originally) and the Brynhill representative for the ladies' past captains Sue Holland.

The runner-up with 35 pts was Helena Coombes.

Nearest the pin on the 9th hole was Ann Phillips.

Well done ladies, a very good day again for the ladies.of Brynhill.

Thanks were given to Sue by Olwen and the captain of the past captains Cardiff and Vale, Carole Allen for organising the day.

There was also a presentation to Liz Fine as she is leaving Brynhill to live abroad. Good luck Liz.

The Brynhill ladies know where they are going on holiday next year!
