BRYNHILL Golf Club ladies champion Gemma Evans has bid farewell to the club, after winning three successive championship titles.

Evans departs the club after an immensely successful season in which she was named Lady Golfer of the Year, after scoring the most points in the season's qualifying competitions.

She is now set to embark on a new career opportunity in Egypt, with her clubmates bidding her a fond farewell at a club celebration on Tuesday, January 16.

Evans began her season on a handicap of 10 and finished on seven, making her the lowest handicapped female player at Brynhill Golf Club. She won the Club Championship for the third season in a row last year, setting the course record of 75 after scoring 10 pars and three birdies.

Gemma is moving to Egypt to work as a Fire Fighter Watch Manager on a peacekeeping camp in Sharmel Sheik, where she will be the first woman to take on the role.

The ladies from Brynhill would like to wish her the very best in her new life in Egypt, and say they will forever remember her time as part of the Brynhill Ladies' Section family.
