ON THE hottest day this year, the ladies' of Brynhill golf club played their Vice Captain's Prize Competition.
The ladies' vice captain Olwen Thomas, could not have wished for better weather to celebrate her day, as 32 ladies' put on the sun lotion before they ventured out to endure the heat.
Unfortunately, a few of the ladies were overwhelmed by the heat and were unable to return to the club for the evenings presentation. Those that did return were entertained by Harrie Knowles, a musical theatre student at Bridgend College. Harrie sang a medley of songs including Dolly Parton's, Jolene.
The ladies' vice captain then presented the winners with their John Lewis voucher prizes.
The winner of the bronze division was Jenny Pateman, with 38 points, over the back nine from Jan Tattersall.
Winner of the silver division was Sam Pascoe with 36 points.
The presentation concluded with vice captain Olwen Thomas thanking all the ladies for their support on her special day. She also thanked Harrie, for her entertainment and the bar and green staff for all their hard work.
Lastly, Olwen thanked ladies' captain Liz Fine for her support during her day.
