ACCREDITED FAW Fun Football organisation PG10 Coaching are delighted to announce the popular Under-6 Fun Football provision will restart on Sunday, October 11.
The provision is supported by the FAW Trust and Premier league giants Everton FC
The fun football provision will be run under FAW mini football guidelines and be for children (boys and girls) in Year 1 and reception (four, five and six years old) held at St Cyres School 3G pitch in Penarth Vale of Glamorgan .
Each team can have a max of eight players and the fun football will run every other Sunday 9.30am to 11am providing four fun matches for each team.
Teams are four versus four and no goalkeepers.
The aim of the fun league is to raise standards in a fun and safe environment, but also to assist clubs in forming their under-7 teams when they enrol in the local junior leagues.
Since the provision opened, football opportunities for children aged five and six years old has risen from nothing to having regularly over a hundred under-6 children playing football, it is also the only fun football provision in the area.
A PG10 spokesman said “The sole aim of the fun football is to raise participation levels, create junior teams and increase standards. Last season saw record participation figures with over 20 teams formed ready to enter the under-7 junior league in their respective area (Cardiff or Vale of Glamorgan)."
