THE Cadoxton and West End Schools of Tae Kwon Do held their second colour belt grading of 2015.

The grading took place at the Victoria Park Community Centre, where 20 students from the Cadoxton and West End Tae Kwon Do clubs were put through their paces by Master Ron Thomas 8th Dan assisted by Anita Sheppard (West End club instructor) and Matthew Bennett, assistant instructor.

The exam consisted of all aspects of this Korean Martial art, patterns, set sparring, floor work, free sparring and power tests, finishing with theory.

The grading was a success with all 20 students passing their grading, four of which achieved top grade A passes. They were Brooke Baker, Charlie Rogers, Riley Rees and Ella Bedford. With Brooke Baker being awarded the Cadoxton grading shield.

Successful candidates were:

Promoted to 10a Orange stripe - Keira Roberts, Abigail Harney and Lacey Blackley.

Promoted to 9th Kup Orange belt- Callum Potter.

Promoted to 8th Kup Yellow belt - Leland Butler and Logan Magorimbo.

Promoted to 7th Kup Green stripe - Riley Rees, Bailey Rees, Maci Connell and Ella-Jade Bedford.

Promoted to 6th Kup Green belt - Peter O`Callaghan, Emily Miles and Charlie Rogers.

Promoted to 3rd Kup Red stripe - Ethan Andrus, Cameron Evans, Mason Blackley and Brooke Baker.

Promoted to 2nd Kup Red Belt - Lucia Cunningham.

Promoted to 1st Kup Black stripe - Jessica Blackley and Martin James.
