A BURN'S Night was organised by lady vice captain Liz Fine of Brynhill Golf Club.
Scotch broth was the first course followed by haggis, neaps and tatties. The haggis was piped in by Archie, and Alec Gray recited 'Ode to the Haggis' which was a bit scary, this was watched by the chef, David Pereira.
Alex gave a reading of some of Rabbie Burns poetry and Liz, Junior Scotch Champion in the 60's, gave us a demonstration of Scottish dancing. Kate Gray sang while playing the harp, it was a lovely combination.
Everybody was invited to dance The Gay Gordens and The Dashing White Sargent, which exhausted most of the ladies.
The evening finished with a sing song of Scottish music accompanied by Liz Brown on the piano and David Fine on the guitar. 'Auld Lang Syne' ended a very enjoyable and entertaining night.
