Lidl has released a new variety of its famous Hortus Gin range, giving it a festive touch.

The Hortus Christmas Gin is available in stores today for just £15.99. It features hints of orange, cinnamon and spicy undertones.

The supermarket advises pouring yourself a glass with citrus tonic and an orange peel to best enjoy its flavours.

Also available in Lidl stores today is the winter British Craft Spirits Festival which features spirits from across Scotland, Wales and England.

The collection includes festive flavoured spirits such as the Harborough Spirits Apple and Cinnamon Gin and the Brecon Rhubarb and Cranberry Gin.

For whiskey lovers, the supermarket will be stocking the House of Elrick 5-year Blended Malt Scotch Whisky. It is the first whisky produced from the Aberdeen distillery and boasts a spiced finish.

Shoppers will also be able to pick up the Peaky Blinders Dark Spiced Rum produced in the West Midlands. It has bold warming spices and finishes with vanilla flavours.
