I CANNOT be the only disappointed Wales fan who stood on the Port Road in Barry for well over an hour to cheer a “welcome home” to the Welsh team, only to see two coaches with blacked-out windows whizz past.
If my disappointment was great (and I’m a 69-year-old grandmother and football fan), how much greater was it for the huge number of children whose faces dropped in puzzlement when there was no sight of their heroes.
The open top bus was reserved for their Cardiff tour, but why no clear windows for their Barry fans?
We’re all incredibly proud of the team; it’s a shame the organisers did not allow us to see these marvellous Welsh lads as they passed by.
