IF you are an ex-pupil of Ysgol Gymraeg Sant Baruc please join us in our next meetings of AFIAITH in the Mount Sorrel Hotel. (Dates below)
AFIAITH is a group for ex-pupils which was formed in March 2013 - a Welsh version of Friends Reunited. It is an excellent way of re-engaging with the Welsh language and an excellent way of catching up with old (and new) friends. The group has been very well supported and is going from strength to strength. In true Sant Baruc style, a choir of 40 strong went carol singing just before Christmas in King Square. We collected over £200 for the Breast Centre Clinic in Llandough Hospital. Fantastic.
Our meetings are totally informal and we can guarantee a good night out.
Don’t worry if your Welsh is a bit rusty – it will all come flooding back. And if you now have children yourselves - and they are pupils in any of the Welsh schools in Barry - imagine how much more confident you will be to help them with their education. Win win situation for everybody.
Meeting dates:
January 10, at 8pm.
February 7, 8pm.
February 28, 8pm.
Dulyn Griffith and Gwenno Huws
