A WEEK-LONG series of events will take place in Barry Library to mark National Libraries Week.
The celebration, which began today (October 9) is themed Discover Something New.
It features a range of activities from children’s games to Tai Chi.
Vale council, cabinet member for learning and culture, Cllr Bob Penrose, said “It’s wonderful to see Barry Library celebrate National Libraries Week with such a wide variety of activities on offer.
“I hope as many people as possible can take part and I hope this encourages more people to become involved in libraries across the Vale.”
Senior Librarian, Melanie Weeks said: “We have a great programme of activities during Libraries Week to help people to make the most of Barry Library. The library has some really great facilities and sessions on offer all year round, from digital drop-Ins to colouring clubs to a pedal painting workshop. Everyone is welcome and we’ll be delighted to welcome our users and new faces for Libraries Week.”
