A 15-YEAR-OLD boy has been banned from one of Barry's main shopping streets for two years.

Jack Richards is excluded from High Street after receiving an Anti-Social Behaviour Order (Asbo), which also prohibits him from consuming alcohol or being intoxicated in any public place in the Vale of Glamorgan.

According to police, he received the order having committed numerous offences since 2009, including harassment, theft, criminal damage and affray.

PC Mike Hawkes, anti-social behaviour co-ordinator for the Vale of Glamorgan said: "The excellent partnership work and positive action taken to secure Richards’ Asbo demonstrates that anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated in the Vale.

"If he breaches this order he will be arrested and placed before the Courts and may be fined or sent to detention for up to five years."

He urged the public and local residents to contact the police if they see Richards in breach of any of the conditions of his ASBO.
