ALIEN epic 'Evolution' (PG), out to buy now, is a great movie ... just as long as you don't take it seriously.

Starring David Duchovny (The X Files, Return to Me) and Orlando Jones (Say It Isn't So) as two science teachers, the film centres around what could happen if a alien cell-infested meteorite crashed into earth.

The film kicks off when the two are called to the site of the crash, there meeting trainee firefighter Seann William Scott (American Pie), the crash witness, and Julianne Moore (Hannibal), a top government scientist.

They discover that cells from the meteorite are quickly evolving, so fast that the human race in America could be wiped out within weeks by alien primates with piranha-like teeth.

With the FBI and all official top agencies unable to find a way to stop the alien evolution, the four work together to find the best solution.

And the alien antidote is something quite unbelievable, as you will discover. This is quite a funny film which is very tongue-in-cheek, but is pulled through by a great cast and amusing special effects.
