OVER recent weeks you have printed a number of articles regarding the court case of Kate Stratton, and her families bid for compensation.

In the time honoured fashion of the media, you have attempted to sensationalise the issue and present polarised views as you see fit.

In truth, probably the only people to benefit from this sad and long drawn out saga have been the the barristers involved in the court case.

As neighbours, we are aware of the devastating effect on Katie; the time in hospital immediately after the accident, the sight of Katie in a wheelchair and the loss of that athletic, outgoing, warm personality, are memories that haunt us.

Consider the effect on Katie's parents. Is it not only natural, therefore, they should seek compensation to safeguard her unclear future?

Perhaps, in future, your energies would be better directed at the outcome, rather than attempting to publish another exclusive on this sad scenario.
