AMERICAN R&B star Brandy is back in the album charts with 'Full Moon', a 17-track strong compilation of smooth grooves.

But even though it has so many different songs on it, the album remains pretty boring and at some points gets way too stodgy.

It has two strengths, The brilliant current hit song What About Us which is very original and top notch; and Brandy's take on Another Day In Paradise which is fairly good, but nowhere near as fine as Phil Collins' original.

The rest of the album is pretty much average, nothing really stands out. It has a good start with B Rocka Intro which samples What About Us and space sounds, but after that the album heads downhill.

Although the ex-Moesha star offers a smooth ballad with Full Moon and a lively beat with I Thought, by the end of the album, say by about track 12 - It's Not Worth It, you start to feel you're getting stuck in cement.

If you're really into R&B and the sound of Brandy you're going to love this - her voice is lovely, but if you're not a fan of that genre, avoid it.
