MORE than 70 boys and girls took part in a Lacrosse Under-14 tournament at the Welsh Institute of Sport on Sunday, April 14.
Teams came from Barry, Cardiff, Llanelli, Newport, Penarth and St Cyres School. The matches were all played with enthusiasm from all involved, including the spectators, and were a great advertisement for the game of lacrosse.
This was the first time that Barry had entered a team and they came away with 5th place having beaten the Llanelli team 2-0 in the 5th/6th play off.
Lacrosse development is supported by ECC Building Services, Sportsmatch and the Sports Council for Wales.
If anyone is interested in playing lacrosse please contact Chris Wills at the WLA on 029 2084 2197.
