I AM writing regarding the letter in last week's Barry & District News ( 'Dear Dash').

Last year I wrote a letter about a certain department store deserving a gold medal for providing warm toilet facilities for the townspeople during the cold "Christmas Shopping" weather.

Dan Evans was the store to which I was referring.

The facilities there are used all the week by everyday shoppers, whether they are "buying" at the store or not.

Extra people are in the town on market days and holidays. I for one do not object to pay the 20p.

When you think about it, the store has to pay the cleaners, provide handwashing facilities and also maintain the toilets. It is not Dan Evans' place to provide toilets for the town.

It is the Council's, but they do not seem to care that we are without. I dread to think how the disabled cope.

The only other decent facilities mean a trek down to the Civic Offices, and I feel as though I am trespassing if I go in there.
