I wanted to respond to all the letters you have recently published regarding the Knap Pool.
I whole-heartedly agree with most of the people of Barry, who strongly feel that the pool should be restored to its former glory.
There are so many features that could be added, like the suggested wave machine.
My husband used to dive there with Barry Sub-Aqua in the summer and they often cleaned the pool out.
As a child I have many fond memories of my time spent there.
Having a summer season ticket, going with family and friends, some of the happiest days of my childhood were spent there.
When I walk past there now with my three children, I feel ashamed that the council have let the place rot.
My children can't understand why this happens.
None of us want properties to be built there and I hope that the people of Barry stand firm and not let the council have their way, as is usually the case in run down Barry Town.
