IS IT just me, or does anyone else have the feeling that instead of working for the people of the Vale, the Vale of Glamorgan Council seem to think that they own the Vale?

They were going to restore the old Butlins site to some sort of beauty for the people of Barry. Now it is a housing development.

We need The Knap to be restored for the benefit of the people. The council seem to be thinking of developing the site for more posh housing.

When will they wake up and realise that you cannot keep taking the prime parts of this town from the ordinary people and selling them to the rich, especially as the town centre is looking more and more like a bomb site?

The centre of a town is its heart and every community needs to have a heart. So the town centre has to be put right before the town dies.

I, for one, am beginning to get fed-up with this council riding roughshod over the people and only being concerned with what they can sell off next.

By the time they have finished, all the coast will be covered in housing estates, and we will have to ask permission to enter their private estates to look at the sea.

Also, why don't we benefit from the money raised from these sales?
