I was very pleased to read the comments from Councillors Steffan Wiliam and Nick Hodges praising Barry Island residents for their continuing fight to re-open Clive Road steps. As anyone can tell you, a stroll across the causeway at this time of year, and with the recent weather, is not a pleasant experience, with waves lapping at your feet and a howling gale in your face.
Our Baruc Ward councillors seem to have their constituents' wishes at heart, and deserve much admiration.
Unfortunately, our council cabinet members seem reluctant to give us any support.
