TWO new business support programmes have been launched in the Vale of Glamorgan.
Tramshed Tech, a leading coworking and innovation hub in South Wales, has launched two new fully funded business support initiatives.
The goal is to breathe life into the economy whilst fostering innovation in the Vale of Glamorgan.
These programmes have been introduced to boost the regional economy and creativity in industries that were previously untapped.
Both the Creative Cluster Programme and the Green Tech Zero Programme are expected to make a significant contribution to this aim.
They have been explicitly designed to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that are innovating in green industries, as well as helping other businesses within the creative sector who wish to nurture creative talent.
The Green Tech Zero Programme represents Tramshed Tech’s commitment to sustainability in the global market.
Applications for this six-month programme are open now with rolling recruitment until January 31, 2025. The programme's start date is set for September 5, 2024.
Sophie Webber, innovation director at Tramshed Tech, said: "The Green Tech Zero Programme represents our commitment to foster sustainable innovation in the Vale of Glamorgan.
"We encourage anyone who lives or works in the Vale of Glamorgan who is working to address green challenges through tech innovation to apply."
The Vale of Glamorgan's creative talent will benefit from the seven-month Creative Cluster Programme based at Tramshed Tech Barry. This initiative will run monthly expert-led workshops to encourage applications for creative businesses in the areas of TV, film, and broader creative industries.
Applications are open now, with a deadline of August 29, 2024, for the Creative Cluster Programme.
This programme begins on September 19, 2024.
Catrin Morgan, community lead at Tramshed Tech Barry, reflected on the Creative Cluster Programme. She said: "The Creative Cluster Programme is a natural next step for our already thriving creative community here in Barry and the wider Vale of Glamorgan.
"I'm thrilled that we can now offer this structured support."
If you'd like to find out more or want to apply, all of the details are available on the Tramshed Tech website.
