A community in St Athan has been praised by a Senedd Member.
Jane Hutt, MS for the Vale of Glamorgan, recently visited the Gathering Place Community Café in St Athan. There, she met volunteers, members of the charity Purple Shoots' team and Councillor Julie Lynch-Wilson to discuss local needs and future opportunities.
Ms Hutt said: "It was wonderful to see the Community Café in action, run by volunteers and supported by the charity Purple Shoots.
"I also viewed the Community Garden supported by volunteers from the Methodist Church. With support from the Vale Council and volunteers, there is a warm welcome for refugees who are engaging with activities and services at the Gathering Place.
"Congratulations to all those involved in this wonderful example of community support in St Athan."
