A new residential service for individuals with learning disabilities has opened in Barry.

Accomplish, a specialist care provider, celebrated the opening of Bayview Lodge, a new facility in Rhoose, Barry aimed at supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism.

Among the attendees at the opening event were distinguished guests, including the Vale of Glamorgan MP, Alun Cairns and the Vale of Glamorgan mayor, Cllr Julie Aviet, alongside professionals and associates from nearby residential services.

MP Alun Cairns said: "It was fantastic to see the new facilities at Bayview Lodge and meet the dedicated staff on site in Rhoose.

"Bayview Lodge will provide vital support to individuals with learning disabilities and those on the ASD Spectrum.

"Thank you to the team for all that you do."

The opening was a significant milestone for the organisation according to Natalie Thomas, registered manager at Bayview Lodge.

She stated: "The opening of Bayview Lodge is a really exciting time for the organisation as Accomplish continue to grow their support network across Wales.

"I look forward to when the people we support move into the service so we can provide them with the best care possible and enable them to live a happy and fulfilled life."

With a capacity to house up to seven individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism, Bayview Lodge signifies Accomplish's unwavering commitment to personalised support.
