Simon Adingra was hailed as Albion’s difference-maker as they beat Aston Villa.

The Ivory Coast winger was involved in pretty much all his team’s best attacking moment, including the penalty from which Joao Pedro eventually scored the winner.

Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy told Match Of The Day viewers: “He was the difference between the two teams.

“Brighton turned them early. He was just really at it.

“He finds himself in the pockets. He has got good feet, he’s direct.

“Brighton have struggled for goals so there is obviously an emphasis from the manager on making more runs off the ball, which he did well.

“He kept getting in great positions.

“He will be disappointed he didn’t get on the scoresheet.

“Brighton played with a confidence that you wouldn’t expect from a team that have been struggling. He was really good.

“He took (Ezri) Konsa in and out and gave him a torrid afternoon.

“I like the the variation in his game.

“He goes outside and then he will come in off the line, come inside.”
