A 20-year-old man will be sentenced at crown court for carrying a knife near a Barry train station.
Callum Baker, of the town’s Jewel Street, also pleaded guilty to affray at a hearing held today (Wednesday, May 1) at Newport Crown Court.
The offences were committed near Barry Docks station on April 1.
Baker was arraigned alongside Kaine Williams, 27, of no fixed abode, who pleaded guilty to robbery.
Williams robbed someone of their mobile phone near the station on the same day as Baker’s offences.
Baker has no previous convictions while Williams has a previous conviction for attempted robbery committed in 2020, for which he received two years in a detention centre.
Both defendants will be sentenced at crown court at the end of May.
They were remanded in custody until that time.
