The Easter holidays are upon us, which means plenty of chocolate eggs and to spend time with the family.

It can be hard to find activities to keep children happy and entertained without spending a lot of money. 

We have compiled a list of the top five activities to do with the children this half term across the Vale. 

Barry Island Bunny Run, Barry Island 

Meet at the Barry Island Promenade for a 2km family fun run this easter.

Easter Egg Hunt and Crafts, Penarth 

Friends of Belle Vue Park are hosting an easter fun event on Easter Sunday, March 31.

Entry costs £3 per child with the event held at Belle Vue Park in Penarth. 

Cardiff City v Sunderland, Cardiff

Why not support your local team as Cardiff City take on Sunderland at the Cardiff City Stadium on Friday, March 29 (Good Friday).

Easter Eggventure Trail & Fun Day, Sully

Sully PTA is hosting a family fun day at Sully Sports and Social Club on Saturday, March 30.

Picture: Google (Image: Google)The day will be filled with Easter craft activities, Bouncy Castle, Softplay, an Easter egg hunt and a BBQ for everyone to enjoy.

All profits will go towards providing activities and equipment for the Children of Sully Primary School. 

Forage Farm, Cowbridge 

Forage Farm is celebrating Easter with a visit from the Easter bunny between March 30 and April 1.

The trail will involve spotting the hidden chicks around the farm.
