A WOMAN was arrested and is due to appear in court after a crash where an iconic location was damaged.

Photos show mangled fence panels next to that iconic entrance to popular Penarth green space Dingle Park.

It can now be revealed the reason for the damage was down to a suspected drink driver.

Police arrested a woman in the early hours of Sunday morning, February 4, after the crash off the roundabout where Windsor Road and Plassey Street meet.
