HUNDREDS of families and carers attended a free Christmas Party hosted by an arts centre in Barry this week.

More than 700 children along with parents and carers attended a Christmas event at the Memo Arts Centre on Thursday, December 21.

Families took part in several activities organised by several service providers that operate across the Vale.

Organisations such as the Play and Sports Development Team, Dewis Cymru, Early Help Team, Flying Start, Mudiad Meithrin, Communities for Work Plus and many more supported the event.

The organisations engaged with families about their services, whilst offering Christmas activities. Children had the chance to meet Father Christmas.

They also watched dance performances from two local dance groups: Razzle Dazzle Dance, and Bliss Dance.

Younger Children also participated in a Welsh Language singalong with Mudiad Meithrin.
