WE went and checked out a new farmer’s market at a trendy shopping district in Barry.

In association with Goodsheds, the second farmers market was held on the site.

Created by the owners of jewellery shop Danzii and Dimensional Art, both based in the Goodsheds, the farmers market was set up in two areas, at the entrance to the store on Hood Road, where four outdoor tents were erected, and inside behind the ground floor food hall.

There, shoppers could browse and buy a range of handmade, independent products including kids toys, coffee, cakes and bakes, art sculptures, and alcohol!

“We (Natalie and Danielle of Danzii Jewellery) thought there was something missing,” said Natalie.

“Everyone does craft markets, but the nearest farmers market is Cowbridge.

“It brings something different."

The farmers market certainly did bring something different and it brought shoppers (some from as far as Kent!)

There are plans for another farmers market, however dates haven’t been set yet and will be released on social media.

Look out for the dates of the next farmers, probably in the new year, at @danziijewellery and @barryfarmersmarket on Instagram.
