Jenner School Barry raise over £2,000 for Children In Need

Jenner Park Primary was lent a bouncy castle for the day, November 17, from local business Bounce Little Monkeys bouncy castle hire, and did a bounce-athon, with each year group having a good ol’ bounce on the bouncy castle set up in the school hall.

Reception, years one, two, three, four, five and six and Rainbow Tree all got 30 minutes each to bounce under the watchful eye of teachers including Ms Jemma Savage, Ms Alison Curtis and Mr Ian Hawkins.

As well as bouncing, the kids sold cookies, raising a total of £2,202.

This year, in total, Children In Need raised over a whopping £33m.

Radio DJ Vernon Kay raised over £5m running an ultra-marathon (Image: PA Media)

Headline fundraiser included BBC Radio 2’s Vernon Kay, who raised over £5m running an ultra-marathon.

The DJ ran from Leicester to Bolton - a distance of 116 miles - over four days.
