POLICE are investigating a series of burglaries across the Vale of Glamorgan after three businesses in Barry were broken into in the early hours of Wednesday, September 20.
Businesses on Holton Road, Sterling Road and the Waterfront Retail Park were targeted in the burglaries.
It comes after eight businesses in Penarth were broken into this month, a man has been arrested in connection with the burglary at a business on Terra Nova Road in Penarth.
Local Policing Inspector for Penarth, Abi Biddle, said: “The most recent burglaries happened during the early hours of this morning (Wednesday, September 20) in Terra Nova Way, Penarth and three overnight in Barry in Holton Road, Stirling Road, and the Waterfront Retail Park.
“We believe that one or two groups of people are responsible because of the similarities in the offences.
“We would ask businesses to review their security systems and also make it clear that there is no cash on the premises overnight”.
Anyone with information on who is involved in the other burglaries in Barry and Penarth should contact 101 or report it online.
