BARRY Town Council has announced the return of its free Family Fun Day - with the addition of new attractions to enjoy.

The family fun day will take place on Thursday, August 24, at Central Park and King Square, starting at 10am and finishing at 3pm.

Organisers promise that it will be bigger and better than last year’s event - which was attended by 2,000 people - as it takes place in the lead-up to the August Bank Holiday weekend.

Leader of Barry Town Council Cllr Bronwen Brooks, said: “I am delighted that Barry Town Council’s Family Fun Day returns for another year, offering a low-cost day out for everyone in the community to enjoy.

“I would also like to thank the Vale of Glamorgan Council for their support with partial funding for this event, so we can create a bigger and better event this year.”
