FROM starting a business in an attic with £1,000, to celebrating a full year of owning and running her own store - Barry's Aaisha Jones is a true business success story.

On top of that Aaisha Jones, 30, juggles raising two kids - aged two and six - and taking care of six dogs.

However, this doesn’t stop her from running Treats Doggy Style on Barry’s Friars Road.

Treats has expanded so much Ms Jones now employs two staff and is extending the shop - but she still wants to go bigger.

“I want to be big," she said. "I want a shop with thousands of stock!”

Treats Doggy Style focuses on unique products for pets, with Ms Jones creating bespoke doggy bags and leads, as well as shampoos and potions to help with your pet pooches skin conditions.

But the twist is in the name, with Ms Jones coming up with quirky takes on iconic fashion houses, putting a doggy style twist on it.

Examples include Poochy Vuitton harnesses - a play on Louis Vuitton - Coco Chewnell chews - a take on Coco Chanel - and Starbarks coffee mug toys. We’ll leave you to work out the take on that one...

Treats Doggy Style also do dog shampoos, including one in a million – a take on Paco Rabanne’s one in a million fragrance.

Ms Jones is also expanding into professional grooming, hiring a groomer as well as learning to groom herself.

Shop assistant Libby Jones was full of praise for her boss.

“Aaisha gave me my first job!” she said. “I enjoy my time here. Aaisha is a great job, inspiring woman.”

Ms Jones is pragmatic, starting her business in her attic where she posted her stock all over the UK.

And Every Wednesday and Sunday she does Facebook Lives on groups grooming doggy style and treats doggy style at 8pm giving tips on how to take care of your pet pooch – for example, did you know apple cider vinegar is an antiseptic that can be used on hot spots or for Frenchies skin allergies?

As well as pragmatic, Ms Jones is determined to get to the top of where she’s going.

“The business is growing,” she said. “I am putting 100 per cent into it and I will not stop until I succeed. I just love my job.”

Doggy Style Treats is open 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday.
