We went and met manager Aram Rasuli, who recently moved from London to Barry to ensure the people of the town don’t miss out on the latest craze to hit the drinks market.

Boba tea, or bubble tea, is originally a Taiwanese recipe made by blending tea with milk, fruit and fruit juices, then adding tapioca pearls and shaking vigorously.

The tapioca pearls, which you find at the bottom of the cup, also known as tapioca balls, are edible translucent spheres produced from tapioca, a starch made from the cassava root.

When we went, Mr Rasuli made us a refreshing (ice cold) Kiwi boba tea, with incredible green pearls found at the bottom of the cup.

Using the shaking machine and sealing it in a plastic cup, boba tea is a cool refreshing drink perfect to have on the go through summer.
