BARRY Island has a new bar!
The Beach Hut Bar, located at the leisure park, opened at the top of the fairground on May 27, and we went to check it out.
See the video below as we walk you round Barry Leisure Park’s latest bar.
The bar officially opened on May 27 not far from Aerospace and, in its own Barry Leisure Park quirky way, it seems ready for the summer – that is it has tables and chairs and the ice-cold beer is ready to flow!
What the bar does have that cannot be installed or taken away is extraordinary views across Whitmore Bay, with tables set out to look right across the bay all the way to Friars Point.
And the leisure park kept it classy, in the leisure park business way…, by giving its first two customers a free ride on Aerospace!

A kitchen is intended to be up and running at the bar serving hot food sometime soon.
A spokesperson for the park said it was great to open the new bar and thanked everyone for their support.
The spokesperson said: “Our new bar The Beach Hut opened over the bank holiday weekend.
“Thank you to everyone who supported us and everyone that came in for a drink.
“Also thank you to everyone that visited us and made this one of the best bank holidays we have seen here in Barry Island Pleasure Park.”
The Beach Hut will be open every day through the summer from midday until 11pm.
