A WELSH Government-funded series of activities in the Vale of Glamorgan will begin on Friday.

Called the Summer of Fun, the Vale of Glamorgan Council has partnered with several community organisations to put on more than 100 free activites for young people.

Intended for people aged up to 25 years, the scheme aims to support the wellbeing of children and young people to continue their recovery from the Covid restrictions.

The scheme is also intended to ease the financial burden on families this summer by providing free entertainment.

It will begin on Friday, July 1 and will end on Friday, September 30.

The activities include, fossil hunting, archery, dance classes and radio workshops.

There are also activities tailored to be inclusive for those with additional needs.
