A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.

TRISTAN O'BRIEN, 30, of Holton Road, Barry, was ordered to pay £159 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly on St Mary Street, Cardiff, on May 1.

RHYS WILLIAM JEWELL, 30, of Cwrt Aethen, Barry, was ordered to pay £686 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance on Cardiff Road on March 16.

His driving record was endorsed with six points.

PAUL MORGAN, 46, of Picton Road, Rhoose, was sentenced to a 12-month community order after he pleaded guilty to two counts of sending a letter/communication/article conveying a threatening message on March 6.

He must complete a 20-day rehabilitation activity requirement and pay £380 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

TIMOTHY ALEXANDER NEIL, 54, of Aeron Close, Barry, was ordered to pay £439 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance on Flemingston Road, St Athan, on March 16.

GARY ROWLANDS, 49, of Porthkerry Caravan Park, Porthkerry, Barry, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

EMMA JAYNE LEWIS, 43, of High Street, Barry, was ordered to pay £254 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance on Cardiff Road on April 9.

Her driving record was endorsed with six points.

DAVID KARL BOWRING, 39, of Scott Close, St Athan, was ordered to pay £660 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.
