A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.

TYLER LEWIS OCCHIOCHIUSO, 19, of Spencer Street, Barry, was sent to a young offender institution for eight weeks, suspended for 18 months, after he admitted three counts of driving while disqualified.

He was ordered to carry out 80 hours of unpaid work, complete a 20-day rehabilitation activity requirement, banned from driving for two years and told to pay £383 in costs and a surcharge.

JACK FITZPATRICK, 20, of Porthkerry Road, Barry, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance on Gladstone Road on March 21.

JORDAN CLEMETT-DAVIES, 22, of Heol Finch, Barry, was ordered to pay £324 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance on Cardiff Road on March 21.

JAMAL ELMISURATI, 44, of Merganser Court, Barry, was banned from driving for three years after he pleaded guilty to drink driving with 67 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath on Woodlands Road on April 20.

He was ordered to pay £349 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

LOUIS DWAINE BEECHEY, 32, of Dyfan Road, Barry, was ordered to pay £319 in fine, costs and a surcharge after he admitted the production of cannabis, possession of a CS gas cannister, possession of amphetamine and possession of cannabis.

KATHERINE VAUGHAN, 45, of Aeron Close, Barry, was ordered to pay £309 in a fine, compensation, costs and a surcharge after she pleaded guilty to using racially aggravated threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour on January 11.

STEFAN BJEGOVIC, 39, of Phyllis Street, Barry, was jailed for six weeks, suspended for 24 months, after he pleaded guilty to sending a letter/communication/article conveying an indecent or offensive message on April 16 and being in breach of a community for assault by beating.

He was made the subject of a 120-day alcohol abstinence requirement, ordered complete a 35-day “building better relationships” programme, a 25-day rehabilitation activity requirement and pay £213 in costs and a surcharge.

RHYS ROMANS, 41, of Ravenshoe Road, Barry, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance on Cornwall Road on March 21.
