A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.

AIMEE NICOLE RICHARDS, 25, of Teifi Drive, Barry, was banned from driving for 17 months after she pleaded guilty to drink driving with 61 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath on Broad Street on April 16.

She was ordered to pay £466 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

CHRISTOPHER ANDREW LING, 51, of Dunlin Court, Barry, was jailed for 24 weeks after he admitted causing the obstruction of an engine/carriage using the railway by act/omission/neglect at Porthkerry Viaduct on September 13, 2021 and being in breach of a suspended prison sentence.

He was ordered to pay a £128 surcharge.

FRANKY JOHNATHAN GEORGE DYMOTT, 46, of Main Street, Barry, was jailed for eight weeks, suspended for 12 months, after he admitted driving while disqualified and driving without insurance on the A48 in Cardiff on March 4.

He was ordered to complete a 10-day rehabilitation activity requirement, banned from driving for 18 months and must pay £213 in costs and a surcharge.

KANE CYRIL GRINDLEY, 34, of Holton Road, Barry, was banned from driving for 12 months after he failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

He was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

MANDY POWELL, 45, of Highlight Lane, Barry, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after she failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

Her driving record was endorsed with six points.

JACOB JAMES RUCKLEY, 60, of Hayes Road, Sully, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.
