FOUR Barry drivers have been in court for speeding offences.

Ryan Donald O’Connor, 30, of Pendoylan Close, Barry, was found guilty of speeding by Cardiff Magistrates Court on April 21.

He was caught on October 8 doing 37mph on Jenner Road, where the speed limit is 30mph. He was fined £220 and given three points on his licence. He also had to pay a £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

Marie-Claire Watt, 45, of Cudd y Coed, Barry, was found guilty of speeding by Cardiff Magistrates on April 21.

She was caught on October 10 doing 36mph on Pentwyn Road, where the limit is 30mph. She was fined £220 and given three points on her licence. She also had to pay a £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

Matthew James McKenzie, 40, of Colcot Road, Barry, admitted speeding at Merthyr Tydfil Magistrates Court on April 27.

He was caught on September 22 doing 35mph on A4054 Oxford Street, where the limit is 30mph. He was fined £100 and given three points on his licence. He also had to pay a £34 surcharge.

Brian Woolford, 59, of Port Road East, Barry, admitted speeding at Cardiff Magistrates Court on April 22.

He was caught on October 12 doing 36mph on Lavernock Road, where the limit is 30mph. He was fined £192 and given three points on his licence. He also had to pay a £34 surcharge and £90 costs.
