THIS Easter Sunday sees the third annual Easter Bunny walk around the village of Rhoose.

It was started a couple of years ago by friends Ian Closier-Hawkins and Sam Gibson, both of Rhoose Point.

They wanted to do something to cheer up the kids during the pandemic, so Mr Closier-Hawkins walked around Rhoose dressed up as the Easter Bunny - with Mr Gibson's help and guidance - giving sweets and chocolates to the kids (and adults)!

Last year they did the same and increased the the route from a one hour walk to a three hour walk to ensure more children had a fun experience. This year the Bunny Walk will be in the name of charity.

The duo have their street collecting licence and on Easter Sunday between 10am and 1pm - weather permitting - they will be out spreading Easter cheer and collecting money for the local scout group 1st Penmark with Porthkerry, where Mr Closier-Hawkins is also working up to becoming a Beaver leader/ assistant. (If the rain comes down this will be done on Easter Monday instead).

The route and information on how to donate will be up on the pair's social media pages and also on the local Rhoose social Facebook pages.
