A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.

P-JAY WHITE, 30, of O'Donnell Road, Barry, was sentenced to a 12-month community order after he admitted drink driving with 56 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath on Barry Road on March 19.

He was made the subject of an alcohol treatment requirement, a 30-day rehabilitation activity requirement, banned from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay £175 in costs and a surcharge.

DAVID ANDREW WILLIAMS, 40, of Borough Avenue, Barry, was jailed for 12 months after he pleaded guilty to possession of opiate painkiller dihydrocodeine, a class B drug, with intent to supply and possession of sedative benzodiazepines, a class C drug, with intent to supply between September 5 and September 13, 2020.

He was ordered to pay a £156 surcharge.

LIBBY CLARKE, 19, of Port Road, Rhoose, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance on Court Road, Barry, on February 11.

Her driving record was endorsed with six points.

BETHAN LLEWELLYN-JONES, 32, of Hunt Place, Barry, was ordered to pay £574 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving on the A470 in Cardiff when she was in such a position that she could not have proper control of the vehicle.

Her driving record was endorsed with six points.

RICHARD MCAULEY, 80, of Mill Place, Ely, Cardiff, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance on Langlands Road, Barry, on February 18.

His driving record was endorsed with six points.
