A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.

JAKE SHEAD, 26, of Brunel Close, Barry, was jailed for 12 weeks after he pleaded guilty to breaching a restraining order on February 3.

He was ordered to pay a £128 surcharge after his release from prison.

NATHAN ANDREW RALPHS, 44, of Cornwall Road, Barry, was ordered to pay £259 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer and driving without insurance on Longmeadow Drive, Dinas Powys, on March 9.

His driving record was endorsed with eight points.

LAUREN ROSE GODDARD, 37, was sentenced to a 12-month community order after she admitted assault by beating in Barry on August 6, 2021.

She was made the subject of a 30-day rehabilitation activity requirement and ordered to pay £185 in compensation, costs and a surcharge.

ADAM RAWLINGS, 31, of Lloyd Avenue, Barry, was banned from driving for six months after he failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

He was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

TAELOR DANE WOODFIELD, 31, of Harbour Walk, Barry, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance on January 31.

His driving record was endorsed with six points.

NEIL DENNIS HAGGARD, 40, of Cei Tir Y Castell, Barry, was jailed for 12 weeks after he admitted breaching a restraining order on March 14.

He was ordered to pay a £128 surcharge after his release from prison.

FAREOUQ SAMROUT, 67, of Wimborne Crescent, Sully, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

His driving record was endorsed with six points.

COLE MOUNTSTEPHENS, 20, of Orange Grove, Pentrebane, Cardiff, was sent to a young offender institution for six weeks after he admitted taking a Range Rover Evoque in Rhoose without the consent of the owner on January 29, 2021.

RUDOLF POHLODKO, 38, of Ffordd Yr Haearn, Grangetown, Cardiff, was banned from driving for 17 months after he pleaded guilty to drink driving on Ffordd Y Mileniwm, Barry, with 74 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath on March 8.

He was ordered to pay £239 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.
